Lion Basketball Coach Jim Griffin reports that the guest lecturer this year will be Coach Carl Ingersol of BYU, along with BYU player Richie Webb, who will assist youngsters at the camp. Registration for the camp takes place at the Payson City Center along with registration for other community recreation activities, May 18 and 25, successive Saturdays. Coach Griffin notes there will be three sessions, one for tenth twelfth graders, through another for seventh through ninth graders, and the other for third through sixth graders. The camp is open to all interested players, not just to prospective high school team players. The camp will offer a and wrist bands along with instruction in the fundamentals of the sport as taught by Coach Griffin and his assistants. The race will begin at the south end of Main Street near the high school and proceed directly north to the city park. The course is downhill and one mile long.
