On a number of occasions in the past year, it has been pointed out various policies of The Chronicle have changed. Whenever possible the newspaper tries to make its own photographs. Under those circumstances, the newspaper attempts to get photographs of people doing things. The publishers do not believe a photograph of a wall with several people standing in front of that wail is a good news photograph. The publishers do not believe a posed photograph of the members of a baseball team is a good photograph. The publishers do believe a photograph of the members of the team jumping for joy, displaying exhuberance after a victory, is a good news photograph. This newspapaer is willing to spend its time, use its camera and foot the bill for publishing what it believes is a good news photograph. This newspaper will not spend its time, use its camera nor foot the bill for publishing what it believes is not a good news photograph. Some persons believe they know more about how this newspaper should make photographs than do the publishers. Some persons believe they should have a hand in setting the policy of this newspaper even though they do not invest a nickle to keep it solvent. . .many of them have allowed their subscriptions to expire. Simply stated, this newspaper will continue trying to make it a good newspaper, one the publishers can be justifiably proud of. And if any reader is curious as to why this issue contains incomplete Payson junior league baseball results, this editorial should answer the question. -- c- Hunt Unit Sets Important Meet expected, new officers of the unit will be elected at the session.
