Thirty history students at Brock-ban- k junior high will be taking more than usual interest in state legislative activities next January after partici- pating in mock sessions last week. The students met with the House of Representatives for a regular session, debating bills presented by the PTA, said teacher Lewis Mousley. Bills included moped safety, emergency preparedness, parent education resource centers, drug paraphernalia and individual education planning. After the bills were presented, the students formed standing committees for discussion, to debate. then Five Brockbank students were actually involved in re-m- debate, said Mr. Mousley. Our students realiv learned a lot about tuc processes followed by the Legislature and will undoubtedly take more interest in the coming legislative sessions, commented the teacher. The PTSA is taking a survey of student response to the project, he added.
