Laketown was the last exchange in Utah to use the telephones. Installation of the first phone in the community dates to 1898 when service was installed in the G.H. Robinson Store. The new service is being provided through the Garden City telephone central office and will be supervised through the Logan office of Mountain States Telephone. Operator assistance will be available at all times to the customers by dialing crank-magen- to 0. More than two months of con- struction have been required for the installation.
