Show VALLEY United Fund Chairmen Homed Valley Music Hall Phyllis Diller Show opens at the Valley Music Hall August 9th for four evening performances at 8:30 and Saturday matinee at 2:15. Phyllis Dillers maiden name is Phyllis Driver. It figures. Her entrance into show business was all part of a Master Plan. She is currently celebrating her 12th year as a per- former. She always wanted to be a movie and TV star. She rec- ently completed her first big movie role in United Artist Eight on the Lam," opposite Bob Hope, Jill St. John, Jonathan Winters and Shirley Eaton. She also starred in her own ABC -- TV series, She credits road to success. The Phyllis Diller Show. Hope and Jack Paar with helping her on the Shes always laughed that way - - even back in grammar school days in Lima, Ohio. Her olympic-size- d laugh has been described as ear shattering. She has been described as Dr. Zorbas mother and the Liz Taylor of the Twilight Zone (by Bob Hope). Its been said she looks like someone who went to the electric chair - - and lived.
