Glenn and Betty Sarbo were the 24th family to move into Kearns. They moved into their new home at 5530 South 4270 West on a cold wintry night in December 1949. Glenn had been transferred from Great Falls, Montana, to the Salt Lake area. They looked all over for a house, and as a last resort decided to go to where Glenn had taken basic training in the service. They liked the homes and decided to buy. Betty mentioned that the first winter in Kearns was exciting and fun. She had been led to believe that Kearns was but after a winter cold spending here, decided that this wasnt so.
