It is hoped that through such a contest, people will be able to study and learn more about one of the favorite, but slighted types of theatre - the Melodrama. Although Melodrama is now looked upon, more or less, as a satirization of temperance over inand virtue temperance and evil, it still gives the actors as well as the audience, an insight into the theatre of yesterday where evil was triumphed over by good.
