Judys time is so occupied she has not time to be idle. Each morning before she goes to school to Granger High School she practices her violin for one hour; at night, she practices for another hour. She teaches two violin students eac week. She had more, but her time would not stretch far enough to enable her to continue teacring them. During the summer Judy practices three to four hours a day. Judith is an accomplished violinist. Just recently, she finished two concerts in which she appeared as guest artist a ladies chorus, directed by C. S. Thorn-wal- l. with the Here selections were the very difficult Zigenuerwei-sen- , by Sarasate, and Allegro movement for the violin, RED POTATOES Treb-laire- s, Concerto in G, by Motzart. Judy has always been a busy young lady. At the age of nine, she played with a small group in the LDS Tabernacle. This same group has played together at the Art Barn and Lions House in Salt Lake several times. Judy now belongs to the Granite Youth Symphony, directed by Marvin Strong, with teachers Jrom the Granite School District as guest conductors. She is a member of the Utah Youth Symphony, conducted by Robert Lenz, who is also conductor of the Idaho Falls Symphony. This group meets three times a month from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Ladies Literary Club. Guest artists are invited to play with these young persons. Utahs own Grant Johansen played with them during his last visit to Salt Lake when he appeared with the Utah Symphony. In January, Judy will play the solo part with the Utah Youth Smphony. They look very good. She is a good student. She is active in her church, too. She is is the chorister in the Taylorsville Fourth Ward Primary. You can be sure if she isnt in her own ward at Sacrament meeting, she is at another ward furnishing the music. Many times she has gone to more than one ward during the same evening giving of her time and talent freely. She took the part of Melody. I can hear many persons asking, where does Judy find time for all of this. There is plenty of time for her if she in cars.
