April 14-1- 5 Fourteen Salt Lake City high schools will represent twenty-fiv- e different nations in the Seventh Annual Model United Nations Assembly to be held on the University of Utah campus April 1961, acDr. to R. cording Ray Canning, Director of Summer School, and Chairman of the U.N. Assembly. Bingham High wil Represent Haiti and Mali Federation; Cyprus High, Poland; East High, Greece, Cyprus and West Germany; Granger High, Colombia and Costa Rica; Granite High, India and Cameroun; Highland High, Turkey and Central African Republic; Jordan High, Dominican Republic; Judge Memorial, Hungary and Senegal; Murray High, Iceland; Olympus High, France and Malaya; Rowland Hall 'School for Girls, Argentina; South High, Sudan and Yugoslavia; St. Marys of the Wasatch, Iran and Gabon; and West High School, Burma and Malagasy Republic. 14-1- 5, nations of the nation will be represented by the 76 high schools participating in the assembly to be sponsored by the Utah Association for the United Nations and the Extension Division of the University of Utah. In addition to careful study of their adopted nations, student delegates must be thoroughly trained in organization and procedure of the United Nations. By Jan. 10, 1961, each school will have submitted resolutions from which the April agenda will be framed. In plenary sessions and committee meetings during the two-da- y assembly, student delegates will debate and vote upon vital world issues as they see them.
