Mr. Jerry McCormick, head of the editorial department, and Paul Robinson in charge of the advertising met with the Kearns Lions Club to tell of the intended expansion of the size of the Valley View News to a minimum of 16 pages and probably 20 pages. It is the duty of the newspaper in this thriving and fastest growing portion of the entire state of tUah and also of the Rocky Mountain region, to carry the information to the right sources to inform all expanding industrial inodustries of the real opportunities in this newly developed portion of the industrial state of Utah. Robinson stressed the importance of all the citizens of this fast growing section of the county to trade with the local merchants since statistics show that 30 per cent of the money spent with your local merchants goes for paying local necessities such as schools, churches, and local developments. Mr. The people of Kearns and Granger are happy about the new Old Hickory Cafe which has a private dining section for civic clubs and other organizations in the southwest section of Salt Lake County. Incidentally, if any of you want to become worriers, its not fair to worry about the things you just read about Youll have to pick your own topics. To get you started, you might worry about whether The Keams Improvement District dew rises or falls. Or why there is a best man at a announced that bids will be open wedding. Or how do birds locate earthworms in the this week for the new pump which ground. Or why do wild geese fly in a is to be installed in the pump staformation. tion at the foot of Western Hills. ! Goes Anything Everyone has a hobby and I have mine. Im a worrier. And everything considered its a good hobby. It doesnt take any special equipment, theres no particular season for it, and it doesnt cost anything. I dont have to round up three other guys to pursue this hobby of mine. Nor do I have to get the car out and drive anyplace. And so I worry about the wife, the kids, the bills, the business, the car, the house, and other multitudenous subjects. When I get thru worrying about the important trivialities, I start worrying about the unimportant trivialities. For instance the other day I cdmpletely ran out of importing things to worry abount. And this is like a golfer finding himself on the golf course without any golf balls. So I racked my brain trying to find unimportant things to worry about and came up with a few. For instance I worried about which is the mother of the chick, the hen that laid the egg or the one that hatched it. I worried about how you pronounce ye like in the good old days. I worried about why dogs turn around before lying down. I worried about how fish sleep. To become a full fledged worrier, it isnt enough to worry abount things, you really should find an answer. Worrying without finding a solution is for amateur worries but a pofessional worrier should ty to find an answer, which I did, and here they are: The hen that lays the egg is the blood mother of the chick, regardless of how it is incubated.
