Show THE VALLEY Page 2 KEARNS School News South Kearns Elementary Arbor Day was celebrated at South Kearns Elementary when a blue spruce was planted in front of the school while the entire watched. Two of the students aided in shoveling earth around the tree. It was the first planted on South Kearns school grounds, but it is hoped that many more are to come. Prior to attendance at the Republican organizing convention in Salt Lake City, the delegates had all n received a letter from the group urging them to withhold making a definite decision as to who would receive their ballots at the 1960 State Republican Convention until they knew whether or not Mr. Skousen intended to become a candidate.
