Phone HU 5-17- Church News First Confirmation at St. Pauls 63 Trinity Methodist Sets Special Mission Program The Trinity Methodist Church will share in a denominational program: Mission to America this Sunday. During the past five weeks some 50.000 persons have attended 488 services held throughout the United States. One hundred sixty-tw- o peosome have and Christ professed ple 5.000 have rededicated themselves in this country. Sunday, at 11 a.m., at the Trinity Fidel Dr. Methodist Church, Mina Methodist Galang, leading ister from the Philippine Islands will be the guest speaker. He is the district superintendent for Meth odist work in the Philippines. He has studied at Drew Theological Seminary, Madison, N.J. and continued his studies in the Philippines He has served as chaplain in the Philippine Army. It is believed that this approach to Mission will bring a good attendance in Kearns, said the Rev. L. B. Friend, pastor. This will be the first time that a denomination has brought preachers to the United States who have been converted in the foreign mission field, to talk to the congregations here. Those to be confirmed are: Sharon Hammel, Sandra Burton, 'Sherenne Osborne, Jerry Arganbright, Lyle Nielsen and John Boutwell. This is the first class to be con firmed at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Kearns. In honor of the confirmants, the Luther League will sponsor a reception and buffet supper for them and their parents, Sunday, at 5 p.m., at the Church.
