We hope it isnt too long before Jerry can be out and around again. Priesthood leadership meeting was held at the Taylorsville ' stake house Saturday night for all aaronic members, elders and their wives. Delworth Young of the council of the seventy representing the general authorities, talked to the group on the priesthood in the home. After the meeting, refreshments were served. The Stake Presidency urged everyone to attend Sundays meeting to be held at 10:00 and at 2:30 and the evening meeting was under the direction of the MIA. It was held at 7:00. NEWS FROM KEARNS . At the last meeting of the Town Council it was agreed upon that peddlers of every type feed like cultures on heavily congested areas lik Kearns, and that a stop must be put to it. If the salesman has qualified goods that are approved by the County Commissioner, then he shall also have a selling permit from the Salt Lake County. If you are bothered by salesmen, ask to see this permit! If they not have it they are not authorized for salesmanship in the area. do At such a time you are within your rights to call the County Commissioners office and report them. The Salt Lake County is going to work in conjunction with Kearns, to impound or give citations to any car that is not licensed and parked on the street or on the eesment in front of the home. Be sure you have your car licensed. Some help will soon be available for the public of Kearns against the stray dogs that are let to run loose. A wire enclosure is going to be built, where you the public wil lbe abletoplace stray dogs, as well as the dog catcher. The dog catcher will then in turn pick up the dogs from this enclosure every day. Dogs may be returned to the owners only by paying a fee for their return. The location of the fenced enclosure has not been disclosed at the present time. Keep your pet tied up. It will be cheaper for you. , bishopric. Everyone is invited to tend. Mrs. Wesley Good of Bennion was elected president: Mrs. Cecil Prince of Granger was elected 1st vice president; Mr. Hutchinson, the new principal for the coming year was installed as 2nd vice president; Mrs. Merlon Lattimore, secretary and Mrs. Betty Hayward elected as treasurer. Mrs. Willis Whitbeck of Bennion representing the Granite PTA Council, installed the new officers. Appreciation gifts were presented to Ivan Frame, a retiring teacher, and to H. Y.
