Show :VEDNESDAY EVENING JANUARY 9 193& ft ATTEMPT MADE TO GET PART OF GASOLINE FUND Ogden Paying $300000 Yearly In Gallonage Tax Figures Show City Commissioner George O'Con- nor is continuing efforts for adjustment of state gasoline tax distribution so that an allowance will be -- lty posed legislation to be presented to the state legislature George S Barker city attorney stated today he had not prepared the proposed legislation and could not well do so until he learns what the board of commissioners desires It is expected final decision will be reached by the board tomorrow or Friday Mr O'Connor's explanation of the situation reads: "Some time ago Judge Barker was requested by the commission to pre pare a bill for the legislators with a view to securing a portion of the gasoline tax moneys now 'going to the state for the purpose of the repairing rebuilding and oiling of our streets At the time such request was made I volunteered to assist Judge Barker all possible in securing data necessary for the framing of such a bill After much checking with the various oil companies it has been definintely determined as follows: "During the first nine months of 1934 Ogden's actual consumption of FUNDS SOUGHT i FOR PEST IVOR!
