| Show ONE SALOON LEFT during the past month ItTe predictions dictions have been freely made that joe zimmerman would accept of the recent saloon regulation and remain in brigham despite his announcement of a big closing out sale and threats to move on he is still here and doing business and the reason for it is that an agreement was entered into by himself and the city fathers last evening whereby mr zimmerman paid to the city as license for the next six months the not to be cashed in by the city treasurer until the court has passed on oil the question as to whether or not the city has tile the right to raise tile the license when mr zimmerman gave his bond for a year the agreement was drawn up tor for the purpose of giving mr an opportunity of bringing suit stilt in ill court and continuing his business until the matter is passed upon he agrees in the agreement to close his place of business at 7 as the ordinance stipulates and in case the court rules that the city has no right to raise tile the license then the check for which mr zimmerman gave the city will be returned to ill him in by entering into this agreement the city waives no right to increase the license oi 01 cut down clown the hours nor any right to enforce the ordinance recently passed wilson brothers closed their doors last night at 11 and will remain clobes pending the decision of the court in the matter |
