Show WAY MAIL CARRIERS ac we are informed by the postmaster at laramie that many loose letters arrive there by the carrier this should not be certainly from this city those who wish to send letters to laramie and further east must do it by the post office and not by the carrier A mail carrier has no right to carry a letter past a post office he may take way letters letteri to the office there he must depolite dep osite them it cost costs just as much to send a letter from laramie to the states as it does to send from this place and for individuals of this city to give letters to the carrier after he leaves our office is not right and the carrier is under no obligation to receive such letters his burden is sufficient to have charge of the mail without any loose papers on such a long and dangerous route those living 1 at ft bridger or other intermediate places who have no direct communication with a post office may aval avail 1 themselves of the privileges of the carriere carrien but the citizens of our city and all other places where there is an office must do their business with the office and not with the carrier |
