of the mountains the day was pleasant and all things united in rendering the occasion one of festive joy and congratulation at 2 p in the guests having been collected froni from the various parts of the city the assembly was called to order and after singing the hymn come all ye sons of zion II 11 and an appropriate pra yer by president B young the following address in behalf of the fraternity was delivered by A 0 BROWER BRow rR I 1 AD ADDRESS IRiSS estar ESTEEMED associates AND FRI ENDS it is with pleasure on this occasion that I 1 present a few remarks on behalf of the fraternity of printers and more particularly that portion of our brotherhood assembled before us who with our illustrious guests have an ail interest in the great and glorious work of building up ul the kingdom Kini doin of god on the earth in the early earla ages of the world as well as at the present ti time 1111 ey darkness covered th the earth i I 1 and gross darkness the minds of the people i i those who received intelligence through the medium of revelation rey elation from the heavens and i those who received the word of the lord from I 1 I 1 Us be booy y bano he considered the jonly p ones J who were exempt from the he general ignorance which shrouded enshrouded en the land this darkness i instead of diminishing continued to increase I 1 i su superstition pers t 1 t ion p prevailed rev
