Show - m OGDEN OGDEN STANDATtD-EXAMINE- sF ' H UTAH WEDNESDAY EVENING APRIL 5 1301 CounSy Asks Ordinance On Valley TV Licensing The Weber County Commissioners have asked County Attorney Maurice Richards to draw up an ordinance which would provide for the licensing of all television sets in Ogden Valley Residents of Huntsville Liberty recently requested help from the commission in paying the cost of a television booster station for that area Huntsville town board members have given a tentative go ahead to Eden and the proposition of enacting an ordi f nance similar to the one proposed by the county When both ordinances go into effect all television gets in the valley would have to be licensed No definite fee has been established At the present time valley residents have contributed $3000 toward the station which is presently operating But there is still a debt of about $3000 outstanding Proponents of the station say many residents of the area have not paid anything toward the maintenance and construction of the station and are Some persons ‘'free-loadin- g” they say have contributed is much as $i00 toward the project Under recently enacted state counties and municipalities are permitted to pass ordinances licensing TV sets in remote areas in order to build and maintain such stations JUNIOR HIGH SCIENTISTS READY TO SHOW WARES AT FAIR IN ROY leg-Elati-on ROY—The Roy Junior High Science Fair will be held Wednesday from 8 to 10 pm and will include displays in the Industrial and Arts Departments said Berlin Jensen director The science projects will be judged in the areas of biological and physical science The projects have been developed by the students outside the classroom!
