C. Lambert, dean of the BYU summer school. The quartet will also play special numbers at the baccalaureate services, June 9. All concerts wH be given in the Joseph Smith Building at fc 15 p.m., except for the special numbers to be given at the services, which will begin at 8 p.m., and one mornconcert at 11 a.m. on June 22. ingTwo compositions written by Fiof. LeRoy J. Robertson, director of the BYU Symphony Orchestra, will be featured during the summer. Professor Joseph Fielding Smith, of the University of Utah, department of speech, will give the address to the graduates. The exercises will be conductd by Tracy Y. Cannon, director of the school. The musical part of . the program will be given by the graduates, who are both accomplished musicians, with one number by a string ensemble from the Mo Cune School Symphony Orches-tra- , under the direction of Dr. Asper. A reception for the grad-uate-s will follow the program. The . complete program, to which the public is invited, is as follows: Strongs Military Band, under its popular director and founder, Marviii JL. Strong, opens a summer series of Sunday evening concerts at Liberty Park on May 30 from 5 to 7 p m featuring Duane Ballard and Harold Baw-de- n as vocal soloists. Director Strong announced that the band will not be heard at Liberty Park a week from Sunday, but will resume its series there on the night of Sunday, June 13, from 7 to 9 pm. According to City Commissioner Fred Tedesco, programs sponsored by the Salt Lake Junior Music Club will be held at Pioneer Park each Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. Both series, he said, will run through the summer with final concerts slated for Sept. 6. Mr. Andrus has shown fine talent, and is one of the most promising young artists in Utah, Professor Larsen states. He has had much training and spent last summer atthe Fine Art Center at Colorado Springs where he received instruction from Boardman Walker, and other nationally kndwn artists.
