Zimmerman Sustained. as Presi en , - , LONG BEACH, CALA new president was sustained , in the Long Beach Stake Sunday, at the regular stake quarterly con terence held in the Jordan High School auditorium2He is Francis M. Zimmerman, formerly the first counselor. He was appointed to succeed Pres. Virgil H. Spongberg who was released after 14 service presidency, the last six as president. Effecting the reorganization of the stake presidency were Elders Mark E. Petersen of the Council of the Twelve, and George Q. Morris, Assistant to the Council , of the Twelve. Sustained as counselors to the new president were Lee A. tokei and Jesse R. Hailstone Jr. Frank Davis will continue to serve as stake clerk. Church Service Zimmerman' h a I President served for the past three years as first counselor in the Long Beach Stake presidency. Prior to that be was a member of , the Long Beach High Council Chief among positions held in Church service were t president of the Srlith Quorum of Seventy, stake Sunday School superintendent and clerk and counselor in the North Long Beach Ward. He fulfilled a mission to the Central States in 1926-28- . Following his mission he entered the University of Utah from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree.
