An ever increasing Pumber of our young men are going into the armed forces of our country, andaway for work in defense .projects. ThLs presents a great challenge to leadership. In a recent interview in the Fre- siding Bishops Officii with Charles R. Wood, former Aaronic Priesthood chairman of the South.Los Angeles Stake, the question wasasked as to what effect defense projects and draft-- ' ing of their young men into the armed services of our country would have upon the Aaronic Priesthood attendance records of his stake. Brother Wood came back very quickly w ith an answer which we pass on as an exam-"pie of the proper attitude for Aaronic Priesthood leadership. His answ'er, We just work all the harder with hose who are available. Weveset our aim at 70 per cent attendance in spite of the draft and defense projects and we wont be satisfied until every available boy at home is with us. We recommen this attitude to all the Aaronic Priesthood leadership of the Church. We cannot afford to sit vin, Elders; Melbourne, Arthur and Asael all Seventies and the father, a High Priest.
