Last year some solid footings aMMIP came out of the initial program. This year the building continued on schedule. Maintains Honesty Perhaps more commendable than any other single phase of the Theater's development has been the professional honesty surrounding its two productions. In each case, worthy guest talent has been imported. It has served the double purEAST pose of putting a cap on the show and of stimulating a rich crop of local dancers. Also commendable has been a price scale that has made the productions available to all. Even with such names as Eglevsky, Bailey and others to draw on, the box office kept its feet on the ground and packed the house for five nights. Show Progress As to the performance, there were some highly satisfying developments evident within the Theater. Local dancers, and particularly some of the very serious students of ballet, showed amazing progress and definite artistic promise. has such advancement limited to the feminine division. Ron Ross, for instance, did some terrific work as a feuding swordsman in "Romeo and Juliet." Phil Keeler was just as impressive as the :waiter in "Old Vienna." Both displayed fine coordination and facility. Incidentally, the Christensen f4 choreography for "Romeo and 1.1ullet" and "Old Vienna" was terrific good enough for a spot on any ballet compahy's WITHOUT IT. - Westminster Singer Slated in Recital ,177air ,!?--7- By CONRAD B.
