Stephenson, Utah Manufacturers Association, reported today upon returning to his office after a three weeks trip to the East. "Easterners realize that weve got a job to do that America . must prepare just as though we were at war, even though we ara now at peace," he declared. Mr. Stephenson made wide contacts with Eastern people and manufacturers on his journey and in New York City, where he attended the annual con venation of the National Manufacturers Association. He came back to Utah impressed with the urgency and Importance of state wjde cooperation in the national defense program. "Utahs small industries can t - profitably participate in the vast defense progratp and thereby assist themselves and the national defense undertaking, he said.
