Millie II, & , Saltair will get into full swing the night of Wednesday, May 29. rather than the usual opening of the resort season on Decoration Day, according to Saltair off dais. The reasbn-So- r this is the one. night personal appearance of Jimmy Greer and his orchestra on Wednesday night, according to Thomas M. Wheeler, general 'manager of Saltair. For the official opening on Decoration Day &Mir will begin a limited engagement of Sterling Young and his orchestra. "Never before in our history have we been able to line up such an outstanding array of nationally famous dancebands as Is scheduled this season," Mr. Wheeler stated. Shep Fields and his rippling rhythm and Dick Jurgens orchestra are among those scheduled at early dates. Saltair has been the scene of feverish activity during the past three months, as workmen installed new games and thrill rides. "What will undoubtedly be one of the most popular features this season," Mr. Wheeler added. "is the new fountain-caf-e located in the old dining room.
