Rasmussen of the Utah State Art Center teaching t a lecture on the staff "Relationship of Cezanne, GaulguM, Van Gogh and Degas to Their Predecessors", tonight at 720 and will illustrate his talk with the loan exhibition from the Metropolitan Museum, now hung in the main gallery of the Utah Art Center. The four painters represented by reprodnction in the loan exhibit were leading thinkers in the art world of their time, and have had an important influence upon almost all artists who followed them. Mr. Rasmusen will associate the principles which they, rediscovered with the old masters, and will relate them to the paintings of today.' He will show in talk how basic and academic painting fundamentals were purposely exaggerated by Cezanne, Yen Gogh, Degas, and Gaugin to stress them, making It easier for artists who followed them to incorporate these same principles in their work. of a will--giv- - Hearing Delayed On Dice Charges day.
