Ile knew that sparrows were meant to be free so he put them in the back yard to fly away. The birds flew to a near-btree and enjoyed a short flight annul& thchelghborhoocl. however, when Mrs. Bond Went to the yard to pick raspberries, the birds joyfully flew down to her. They lighted on her shoulder, head and arms coaxing for food. Apparently the term "free as a bird" Is for other birds. These sparrows now greet the Bond family whenever they are In the yard.
