He is Steven James Alien, son of Mr. and J. Allen. --s - 3 Mrs. Orlo 7 ; r -- . . Steven is president of the Spencer Branch Aaronlc Priesthood and is one of two LDS students in the Spencer;' Public High School, which " has an enrollment of 710 students. While Steven could not be active in sports, he has earned his letter in both junior and senior high school by being athletic manager. In high school, Steven was the, first fresh-- ' man in Spencer ever to be named student manager in sports and the first freshman to earn a major letter in athletics. f Steve was student manager for the Spencer varsity football squad, basketball and track teams as well as being-thofficial statistician for all basketball games. AA r , Eugene Kregg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Kregg of San Clemente, Calif., Laguna Beach Ward, has been granted a National Defense Fellowship for study of the science of materials according to word received recently by- his parents. The fellowship is for graduate work at the - Department-oUniversity of Utah, -- under-the f Health, Education .and Welfare. It will average about $3,800 a year for a three-yea- r period. - The senior Kreggs received a copy of a letter from C. F. Garland, associate dean.
