Tm on one acre, so Ive got limited space, KENNEDY MASON STAFF REPORTER The Sugar House Farmers Market announced it will be extending its season into the fell for its first annual Fall Harvest MarketThe market recent- ly found its summer home at Fairmont Park, but it wont be staying there all winter Instead, it will move to Wilmington Plaza, right next to Westminster on the Draw. We really want to highlight Wilmington Plaza and the Wilmington Flats area, said Amy Buchanan, board chair of the Sugar House Fanners Market Its just a fabulous space with some great local flair. We want to bring the vendors, the music the summer and all the excitement weve had at market and continue it into the fell. die space at Wilmington Plaza is limited, Buchanan said she estimates the fell market will fit 15 to 20 vendors compared to the 40 to 50 vendors at the Summer Market Were going to be outside in the elements, Because Haskins said. Tm looking to finish out Wheelers Farm Market and then take a break. Buchanan said die board expects the same community support in the new area as it had at Fairmont Park Weve had a really great response with the Sugar House Farmers Market, so we thought, Lets continue it and see what we can do,Buchanan said. Melo Flores, a board member of the Sugar House Farmers Market, said volunteers have made the events successful in die past, and the market is looking for more people to help. Weve had so many stellar people stand up and What can I do to help? Buchanan said. be like, Thats been really eye opening. With the constant construction on 2100 South next to Wilmington Plaza, Buchanan said the board hopes to bring the attention the new space deserves. Buchanan said. Bundle up, wear the right gear and come out and have fun. There are some really fantastic spaces that havent even been touched yet, Buchanan said. We Daniel Benites, owner of Salsa Del Diablo, said he plans on introducing more products at the Fall want people to get excited and maybe even start to do their own projects in some of these places like Harvest Market to fit the cold weather. Fairmont Park, Wilmington Flats, Sugarmont Plaza and Monument Plaza and just be creative and Well actually add a Mexican hot chocolate, Benites said. 1 love the snow, but I know not everyone does. Although Benites said he is excited for the fell market, there are some vendors who dont plan on come together as a group and have fun.
