Students can utilize their student IDs for discounts, too. .4 LOUISE SAAFI STAFF REPORTER Although Wasatch Brew Pub is known for its award-winnibeer, its bartenders also create the best Bloody Marys in the Sugar House area. Wasatch Brew Pub was created in 1986 by Greg Schirf. After moving here from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and seeing a need for a brewery, he decided to create one himself, despite the very strict alcohol laws Utah imposed in the 1980s. Wasatch Brew Pub was not only the first brewery in Utah but also was one of the first craft brewers in the U.S. Monae Madson, manager of the Wasatch Brew Pub in Sugar House, said she was de- lighted that it had won the award for the best ng ft RACHEL ROBERTSON Bloody Mary. We love Westminster students, Madson said. Madson said the pub has a special of $2 Bloody Marys every Saturday and Sunday. For only $2 extra, customers can create their own at the Build Your Own Bloody Mary bar. Customers can customize their Bloody Marys by grabbing a shot of vodka at the bar and arranging the different ingredients together. The ingredients the pub offers for range from pickles, asparagus, horseradish, chili beans, lemons, limes and more.
