Curtis introduced me to web design and I fell in love with it. He was always really helpful and it was a joy to be in his class J Favorite spot on campus? HWAC. being in HWAC meant it was time for tice, and I loved going to practice. prac- Favorite class and why? Business and professional communication with James Hedges. It was the first class I took at Westminster and really set the tone for what the communication gram and Westminster was all about. pro- What will you miss the most about Westminster? Not being able to see some of the same people on most a daily basis, roommates, friends, teammates, fessors, coaches, etc. pro- Last words? Life is quick, enjoy every minute that you can. Elizabotii Suave Most inspiring professor and why? Tim Carr is my most inspiring professor. I only had him for a short period of time, but he taught me some of the most important things in education. He tells you like it is, and gives you every resource he knows of to you help you through any situation. Favorite spot on campus? Richer Commons will always be one of those places where you can people watch, read a book, eat a meal and chat with friends. Favorite class and why? So many - One class that I took the most from in the education program was language arts methods with Janet Dynak. I learned so much about myself and about teaching through that class. V April Torres Most inspiring professor and why? Martha Barton. I wish I had met her much earlier than I did (I didnt meet her until my last semester), but I am so thankful I did. While in Marthas class I realized Most inspiring professor and why? I would have to say that my most inspiring professor was Matt Kruback. When I started out as a freshman at Westminster, beginning drawing was one of my first classes. He took the time to sit down with each student over coffee to make sure they were feeling okay just starting out in college. That was the first time in my life that I had a friendly conversation with a teacher. I realized that Westminsters professors would be different and that I could connect with them. wanted to work for an agency of the advertising professionals speak to our class, but I had no gin looking. I loved working out on campus as both a student and cycling instructor. It enhanced my understanding of organizational communication, leadership and identity. What are your plans for after graduation ? Live the dream. '3 What are your plans for after graduation ? I will be working as a Communication Coordinator at Intrepid and (hopefully) teaching cycling classes at Westminster starting again in the fall. What will you miss the most about Westminster? There is so much I will miss about Westminster, but mostly I will miss the sense of community. Everyone - students, professors, faculty - are so close and really look out for each other. Im going to miss running into all of my friends on a daily basis. What helped you through the hard times during your time here? Whenever I was going through hard times at Westminster I would remind myself to look at the big picture and to not lose sight of my goals. I think its important to remember everything is temporary so you shouldnt get caught up in the little things, because tomorrow that emotion conflict will pass and youll still be on your way to bigger and better things. Its all about perspective and being able to rely on a great support system when you need to. Oh, and many chai tea soy lattes from Sugar House Coffee with dark chocolate! Favorite spot on campus? My favorite spot on campus is just off the bank by the stream. Ive sat down there and just listened to the water and watched the birds when I was really stressed. Favorite class and why? combination of all the design classes I took with Professors Justin Anderson, Curtis Newbold and Rue Wood. They are amazing and very respectful even when my designs were unidentifiable. My favorite class was really a What are your plans for after graduation? Whelp, Im still figuring out my plans after graduation. My family goes to Vegas every summer for the 4th of July, so Im hoping I can do that one more year. I am looking for a job within the communication field, but I am also thinking about doing a service trip to another country or at least traveling. What will you miss the most about Westminster? I will miss being surrounded by my friends. I see them every day just walking around campus. I will also miss working in the Advancement office. What helped you through the hard times during your time here? My friends helped me the most, but also being surrounded by other students who keep pushing through the hard times to do their best. If they can do it, so can I. Brian Fredrich Most inspiring professor and why? Last words? Its been a wonderful four years at Westminster, Im so glad I chose to go to this college and that I was able to meet so many inspiring people. It really was the best experience I could have ever asked for; I will forever treasure the memories of my time here. I am sad to see What are yourplans for after graduation ? it end, but I am looking forward to staying connected I will be spending time with my family in Idaho, and to the Westminster community and watching my fellow then coming back this direction to teach 6th grade math Westminster alumni succeed.
