At an estimated cost of $48,000 taken from the capital budget, students can expect to have the furniture for 10 to 15 years. According to A1 Johansen, Director of Purchasing, students comfort, cost efficiency and a lifetime warranty were among a few, of the factors that went into the purchasing of the furniture. An informal committee consisting of Executive Vice President Steve Morgan, Nancy Applebee, previously of the Registrars Office, Johansen and furniture designers contributed in making the decision to replace the furniture.
