They usually travel at a speed that a turtle would find monotonous and pull in front of you even though you are attempting to break the land speed record. This usually sends your car and passengers screaming and flying off the road like that ski jumper on Wild World something similar to Einsteins theory of relativity on the understand-abilit- y scale for most people. ThereI fore, decided to provide, at great cost and effort to the Forum, these fine graphics to help illustrate my point. The little black rectangle is a car turning left onto 1300 East, off of the freeway. Question: The driver of the car should turn into which lane? a. Alaska b. Lane 2 c. The driver of the car should turn directly into lane 1, cutting off the drivers next to him because he wants to go to Sizzler and eat shrimp, and hes not getting any younger, dammit! If you answered c you are a certified Utah driver. The answer to the question is really none of the above, because after spending the last three weeks on trying to make it Utah of one through Department of Transportations road destruction blockades he has now died of thirst. Nearly every morning I almost get plowed by some idiot trying to turn into the far right lane on 1300 East. This is the preferred method of high school students and those with extremely high levels of caffeine pumping through their veins. (Uh, yeah, uh...Ill have a triple espresso to go, please) Finally we have the can I make it?, whoa I dont know, maybe, AAAAAAH, method. This method is great for those who drive like e those obnoxious little yip dogs that some people own. (Say hello to Fifi...Yip! Yip! Yip!) This is the funniest method to watch. Heres the scenario: Youre on the freeway. Someone has their signal on. You slow down to let them in, but they dont move over. They just keep flipping their head back and forth while their car goes into an epileptic seizure. Finally, you give up and pass them. Maybe if we could shoot out the tires of people who drive like idiots, we would start driving more courteously. That sure would give a whole new meaning to the term riding shotgun. (Cover me, Hun. Im making a lane change!) Oh well, maybe Ill just go to Sizzler and get me some . shrimp. Hey, get out of my way! Where do you think you are, Jersey?
