Hand was in charge of making sure everyone did his or her homework so Peace Week could happen. And it did happen. Being involved with the Westminster United Futurists as its secretary. Hand has been able to help others while helping herself to reassure her beliefs for a better world. United Futurists is one way for me to change things. The Utah Shakespearean Festival is celebrating its 27 th year by presenting three plays, As You Like It," Othello," and Cymbeline July 7 through September 3 in Cedar City, Utah. Ballet West will Join the festival during July this year for 1 2 performances. Gerald R. Sherratt, president of Southern Utah State College, commented, . . . we (the college) are delighted that Ballet West is becoming a part of the Festival City, particularly, that they are performing on the SUSC campus." Cedar City, known as the Festival City" of Utah is home to SUSC, which hosts the Utah Shakespearean Festival along with various other events during the summer months which draw thousands of visitors to the Southern Utah city. "Ballet West along with many other performing groups will provide a unique cultural environment, one unrivaled by anything else in the West." said President Sherratt. Daytime activities during the festival include seminars, which discuss the play of the previous evening, royal teas, costume cavalcades, and Renaissance feasts. Entertainment on the green precedes each Shakespearean production where dancers, musicians, storytellers, jugglers, acrobats, and signers interact with the audience.
