Show East Carbon Births 888-449- The Leisure Club of East Carbon celebrated Mothers Day on May 10 in the Dragerton Rotary Building. Gifts were given for the oldest mother and the youngest mother present among the club members. The winners were Mrs. Ethel Shields, the oldest and Mrs. Elaine Jensen, the Fern youngest. Fish arranged for a group of young girls to entertain. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Lincoln brought as guests, Mr. Mrs. Melvin Fladstol and of Montana. Mrs. Harpers daughter and were guests as well as Mrs. Bowden, a guest of Mrs. Conrad, Tomilson. Mr. and Mrs. Verner Stoddard traveled to Ogden to attend the wedding of their son, Sam to Diana Hinthome, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hinthome of Ogden. Sam and Diana were united in marriage on April 28 at the Episcopal Chapel. Byron Stoddard, brother of Sam, was the best man. Diana picked spring colors to her white gown. Mrs. Hinthome was attired in a lavender formal with Mrs. Stoddard in a flowing gown of pink. Sam and Diana a planned off-s- et honeymoon to San Francisco, Calif. On their way home, Mr. and Mrs. Stoddard spent some time at the home of their daughter, Sharon and husband, Mayor Malcom Beck of American Fork. While there they were treated to a celebration for their 41st wedding anniversary. Among those attending were 10 grand- children. Mrs. Stoddard also spent some time in a Salt Lake hospital for tests. Mr. and Mrs. Eldred Johnson drove to Fairview on Mothers Day to spend the holiday with Ferns parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Cox. Marie Robbins and Lois Sanich drove to Trinidad,-Colo- , last Wednesday to attend the funeral of Maries aunt. On the way back they stopped off in Walsenburg, Colo, to visit with Loiss grandmother. Mrs. Neil Guymon spent Mothers Day with their family on an outing in Spanish Fork Canyon. Art treated mom to a ride on the back of his motorbike. Also with them to celebrate the day, was Mr. i Mrs. Ruth Maddera Phyllis Johnson 888-234- 3 and a grandson, weighing in at six pounds plus 20 inches long. Ralee and husband Don M. Christensen, named their son Benjamin Don. Terri Peacock reported her sister Penny Collins delivered nephew Scott Jay on May 8. It was also Terris 16th birthday. This is Penny and Byron Collins first child and just missed being born on their second anniversary. The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Peacock of Sunnyside and Mr. and Mrs. Warren Collins of Dragerton. Barbara and j i Paul presented their parents with a granddaughter on Mothers Day. The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John Naylor of Sunnyside and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Robinette of Dragerton. To end the baby parade was a son born to Wayne and Lorraine Fingerson of Sunnyside. Little brother will be welcomed home by two year old sister, Robinette and Vivian Sietz of Dragerton. Young Dirk Allen will be met at home by two sisters, Fanone and Monica. East Carbon really had a baby parade this last little while, starting out with Liz presenting Ray Ferguson with a brand new baby boy last week. This was their first.
