TAYLOR I Andreini Continues To Gain Ground In Tuesday Mixed The Auidreinis added one more point to their lead in the Tuesday Mixed Foursome league at the Country Lanes last week when they boosted their record to 39 won and 12 lost. Second place Country Cousins io.st ground again this week when they could only manage a spilt, winning two and losing two, bring, ing their record to 35 won and 17 lost. Five weeks remain in the first half of the Tuesday Mixed league, so that eight of the Mixed Foursome teams have a mathe-mathicpossibility of overtaking the leaders. The Country Counsins rolled the high team game and series w'hile losing two points with a 676 game and 1984 series, and Nita Webb, WIN IN TWO WAYS . . . Participants in the Christmas benefit bowling tournament to lie staged Sunday, December 9, at the Bonnie Lanes in Helper from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. will have an opportunity of winning one of the trophies shown by Joel Johnson, left, and Fred Halverson, on behalf of the Trophy sponsors, Carl Km Emery Bank and Price Trading Company, respectively. In addition to winning a trophy, one for the mens team and the other for the womens, bowlers will have the satisfaction of knowing that the proceeds from the tournament will be used to benefit the needy of this area at Christmas time. The tournament is being sponsored by the Eastern Utah Peace Officers Association with the cooperation of Price-Helpbowling associations. Approximately 40 teams have registered for the tournament to date, according to Charles Semken, Jr., Carbon County deputy sheriff, one of those who developed plans for the tourney. al bowling wttth the Cousins, hit an ail spare, 184, game and a 498 series to help their cause. Alan Smith, of the Talienco-Smit- h team which bowled against the Country Cousins, came up with a 212 game and a 560 series for high honors of the night.
