Benefit Card Party Set for April 26 By Soroptimist Club The annual benefit card party and dinner held publicly under auspices of the Soroptimist Club of Price will take place April 26 at the Carbon Country Club, according to Mrs. R. T. Mitchell, chairman. Announcement of the social was made this week so that patrons may begin to think about their reservations for that date. All proceeds from the bridge dinner will go toward charitable projects. The unit has recently completed its project of a donation of $50 each to four schools in Carbon county for the express purpose of adding to the schools science departments. Other benefits are the purchase of glasses and dental care for needy children; furnishing wheel chairs, crutches and a walker to patients who need them; assisting at the home for the aged. SOROPTIMISTS HEAR DEFENSE PROGRAM A program of civil defense was presented for the Soroptimist Club Wednesday evening, March 22, at the Country Club by Mrs. Lee Diamanti of Helper and Mrs. Albert Passic of Price, county workers in the womens organization for civil defense.
