The first phase will involve mapping existing information with the aid of aerial photographs, finding out what lands are suitable for various recreation uses, and pinpointing areas needing more study. Field crews will then examine these areas. They will find out the acreage available, how accessible they are to the public, what natural attractions water, unusual scenery, mountains are nearby, and overall quality of the areas from the standpoint of public recreation. All kinds of outdoor recreation will be considered, including camping, hunting and fishing, picnicking, mountain climbing, boating and swimming, skiing, hiking and horseback riding, and the enjoyment of wilderness and wild areas. Field work is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 1960. Data from the field, along with other information, will be compared with estimated future recreation use. The final report will be Issued in the fall of 1961. From the review will come firm' plans to best use the available land and water resources of the Intermountain National Forests to meet outdoor recreation needs of a much larger population in future "years. t STAUFFER Never compromise high ideals for lesser ideals, was the advice given the 22 graduates by Most Reverend Joseph L. Federal in his graduation address at ceremonies held in the Notre Dame de Lourdes church Sunday evening. The coadjutor bishop of the Salt Lake diocese asked the Notre Dame school graduates to always remember their parents, the Sisters, pastors, assistant pastors and lay teachers in their prayers and never forget the things these people have taught them. The effects of the sanctity of these young men and women will influence many lives in the future as the greatest need in the world is the love of God and man and with the grace of God they can be all they hope to be," said the bishop, who used Danti and Michael Angelo as examples of the hard work and time it takes to achieve ones ideals and ambitions. Monsignor Edward F. Dowling and Father John A. LaBranche assisted the bishop in presenting diplomas to the following members of the class: Patricia Cartwright, Patricia Abeyta, Darle Andreini, e Rosa Gallegos, Marie Iriart, Motichka, Regina Ori, Margie Pretiger, Darlene Snowball, Marian Valles, Anna Vega, Donald Sheya, Roger Olson, Wayne- Massey, Art Martinez, John Kokal, Duane Kelley, Paul Dupin, Henry Mich-alen- DiSimone, Celeste Dalpiaz, Herman Griego and Jake Zaccaria. First, to start realistically means to take into account all ones fixed expenses and usual living costs. Only thus can one determine how much can reasonably be saved each payday. Second, to follow through doggedly on a regular savings program shouldnt be hard for a person of ordinary will power who starts realistically. Open a savings account with us and try it! The eventful day began with an 11 :15 Mass at. the church at which time Father Thomas Meersman counselled the graduates, To always follow the good advice of their elders. The Notre Dame school faculty will be thankful, if, by having been in contact with them, the graduates lives are made fuller and richer. But, if not, they can always count on the prayers of their teachers," stated the assistant Notre Dame pastor. Music for the Mass and the graduation ceremony was sung by the Notre Dame school girls glee club choir accompanied by Mrs. Wendell Stratton under the direction of Sister Mary David. Following the Mass the Sisters of Charity were hosts to the graduates at a delightful breakfast served in the church hall. Places were marked with nut cups with figures of girl and boy graduates in caps and gowns. The tables were centered with bouquets of beautiful gold and blue flowers and larger figures of capped and gowned graduates. Souvenier rosaries in plastic mortar board cases were presented to each of the honored guests by the Sisters, Additional guests were Bishop Federal, Father LaBranche and Father Meersman.
