She is living at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Elwin Rasmussen Naomi Stevenson conducted the recent meeting of the local B.P.W, Club held November 7 at the East Carbon library. A business session was held wherein the membership drive was considered. Plans were discussed concerning the Christmas party to be held December 14 at the N-- Inn. Plans were also made for giving baskets of food and provisions to needy families during the holiday' season. Following the business session, Dr. Dina Bayer gave an interesting and informative lecture concerning the value and the need of immunization. Following this, refreshments were served at a beautifully appointed table, with Dr. Bayer pouring. Hostesses were Dr. Bayer, Myrtle Davis, and Naomi No- vember ii at tna Ir.me of Mrs. Harry Malaby. This was in honor of the new members of Alpha Iota Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. This was an impressive candlelight ceremony and pledges were given to Betty Keele, Margaret Durrant, Dolly Stella and Beth Cline. Following the ritual, mem-- ; bers proceeded to Nicks Cafe, where they enjoyed a steak dinner. President Mary Clark was mistress of ceremonies.
