Show t A THE Thursday, October 31, 1957 Page Eight Price Sixth Ward Price Kiwanians Entertain Partners Stages At Halloween Dinner, Dancing Party Gold-Gree- Ball n The first in a series of twenty-si- x MIA Gold and Green Balls to be held in this district was presented by the Price Sixth ward Saturday, October 26, in the ward recreation hall. Evening in Paris was the theme of the ball, with a replica of a Paris sidewalk cafe being the focal point of attraction. Refreshments were served from this replica, which was placed in the stage. Lamp posts and silhouettes' of Pa- -' ris scenes further enhanced the large hall. A large crowd was present to enjoy the dancing and the floor show, which included a dance by Bee Hive girls, The Busy Body, and one by M Men and Gleaners titled "Gay Paree. Mrs. Len Anderson and LaMar Hussey, presidents of the MIA, were general chairmen of the event,' .assisted by all the officers and teachers, Kenneth Miller and Lola May Marsing were the artists for the scenery and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Mathis were in charge of the floor show. Models Selectied for Carnival of Fashions , ' -- Models who will take the "runway for the approaching Carnival of Fashions have now been selected and are taking tips on how to perform in the spotlight with style and grace. None of the models are of the professional variety, but have been chosen be- cause-of their adaptability- pnd to. represent certain types and age groups. All are enthusiastic about the opportunity to appear in elegant new outfits, perfectly accented with jewelry and accessories. , Models to appear in the show are Katherine Averill, Belva Walton, Helen Bunnell, Helen Day, e Judy Olsen, Shanna Evans, MacKnight, Marge Vise and LaRae Wright. The group met at activities concerning the show. Plans for the big event, which will be held in the National Guard Armory Saturday, November 23, at 1:30, are rapidly falling into place. Members of Upsilon chapter, of Beta Sigma Phi, sponsoring organization, report that the ticket sales are going well. Since only 300 are to be sold, anyone intersted in attending this outstanding social event should purchase tickets as soon as possi5 2 or ble. Call 5 for quick ticket service. The Halloween season was marked by Price Kiwanians and their guests with a dinner dance held at the Country Club Saturday, October 26. Orange candles, marigolds and bright pyracantha berries decorated the tables, with orange and black favors and masks marking each place. Halloween figures were pinned to the walls and a skelton with blinking eyes peered at the crowd from the top of the piano. Carl Leavitt presided at the dinner, turning over the time to Stevenson, Mrs. Connie Poglajen and Mrs. Rose Suvada. Mrs. Ann Cloud was a special guest.
