Foulger as assitant chief of the Division of Range and wildlife Management has been made by intermountain forest regional office headquarters at Ogden, it was announced Wednesday by Forest Supervisor George L. Burnett. Mr. Foulger has been assistant Nasupervisor of the Manti-LaStional Forest since June 1952. He is a graduate in range management from the Utah State Agricultural College. He entered the Forest Service in 1934 and was assigned as junior range examiner to the Caribou and Targhee National Forests in Idaho. In May 1949 he became district ranger .of the Mt. Baldy district of the and was stationed at Mantl before his transfer to Price. One of the programs of the Manti-LaSin which Mr. Foulger has held high intereest and has car-ri- d forward with notable achievement, has been the terracing and seeding of the watershed above the community of Mr. Pleasant. Mr. Burnett said that Mr. Foulger has been outstanding succeess-fu- l in national forest resource administration, particularly as it pertains to watershed and range management. He has wide understanding of the scope and importance of these two vital resources and from long experience is trained in general forest administration. He is intimately familiar with timber, wildlife, and the recreational resources of forest lands and their administration. Mr. Foulger and his wife, Violet, and their four children now live in Price. The transfer and promotion of Mr. Foulger is tentatively set for April 7. Turning to industrial production, Mr. Shaw said expanding in- dustry will have a great impact in this area. It is estimated," he said, that the Industrial production here will rise approximately 30 per cent between now and 1965.
