Show m mm 0 Ian UMW Locals Arrange Biggest Observance ENT NEWSPAPER Volume 65 A CONSOLIDATION N Committeemen representing the various locals of the United Mine Workers pf America in Carbon county are going all out this year to stage one of the biggest and most diversified celebrations for Labor Day in the history of organized Number 35 labor in this section. Under the general chairmanship of Ross Norton, this years celebration promises a more complete slate of activ- ities for youngsters and adults with the events to be crammed into two full days of activities and the evening portion of a third. Parades, dances, movies, amateur and professional talent shows, sports and fireworks are on the agenda with one event to follow the other in rapid-fir- e order. The celebration will start Saturday evening with a banquet at the Helper civic auditorium for committee members and invited guests.
