Army Force in Germany Currently serving in Germany is Floyd J. Edwards, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton J. Edwards, Price. Edwards joined the U. S. air force March 10, 1952, at Fort Clem Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Tomlinson have been advised that their son, CinemaScopE J. EDWARDS Warren, recently passed the Colorado Bar examination and was sworn in as an attorney. Warren graduated from the University of Denver in 1951 and from the school of law at the University of New York in June, 1954. He is now legal assistant to the city at torney of Denver. Among visitors at the State Fair this week were Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Mayer and Elaine, Mr. and Mrs. Verner Stoddard and family, Mr. and Mrs. Don King, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hanson and Mr. and Mrs. Bus Cline. Club members Dragerton received due recognition at the Utah State Fair, Diane Lund, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Lund, and Elaine Mayer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Mayer, gave a demonstration of better body mechanics, illustrating proper posture. Elaine exhibited her prize loaf of bread, and Diane displayed her child care kit. Francis Urbanik sent her prize cookies to be judged. For their participation and exhibits the girls each received blue ribbons, a significant achievement, for they were the only three local girls who were in the group. Mr, and Mrs. Norman Bauer have been visiting at the Reuben Fluke home, Mrs. Bauer was the former Ruby Fluke. They visited also with her sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Farliano. The Bauers live at Gilman, Colorado, Ladies night was celebrated by the Rotary Club Thursday evening. The Rotarlans and the Rotary-Ann- s met at Nicks Club for a tasty banquet and a splendid program. President Joseph McKean was in charge. Cal Jewkes and Gean Folkerth delighted the group with their rendition of musical numbers. Mrs. Fay Thomas presented an excellent humorous reading, A revue of coming events :'or the club 5 ear was discussed. The Birthday group met this week to honor the birthday of Verner Stoddard. Mrs. A. R. King and Mrs. Clifford Mayer were hostesses, A delicious luncheon was served and the guests enjoyed playing rook for the remainder of the evening. Prizes were awarded to Mr. and Mrs. Lee Douglas and underwent basic training at Lackland Air Force Base at San Antonio, Texas. On May 2, 1952, he was promoted to airman third class and was as signed to the 3713th Wing Squad ron Fleet 430. Following basic training he was sent to Clovis Air Force Base, New Mexico. He was assigned to the 140th Maintenance Squadron Later he was assigned to train as an organizational supply specialist and was then promoted to airman second class in April of 1953. On July 23, 1953, the entire 50th Bomber Fighter Wing was shipped to Hahn Air Force Base in Germany, He is now a senior organizational supply specialist and is the assistant officer in charge of his unit.
