Suggestions were also considered from Grand countys garden club and the garden club in Ferron. The program planned by this group consists of an afternoon session February 8, on potted house plants and their care. This will include a discussion of plants which serve well in the garden and in the home and can be moved from the outside to the inside of the horns. Speakers Sunday evening were W. J. Nielsen, Edgar Johnson, and Thomas Bendall. A Fireside was held after the church service at the home of La-RWilstead. Rex Christensen was the speaker for the evening. Technical Sergeant Charles of Salt Lake City, but stationed in Wisconsin at the present time, came to Wattis Thursday afternoon to call on his friends, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Kontgas. He was accompanied by his mother, Mrs. Steve Gianulis of Salt Lake City. It will be remembered that Charles was Tonys best man at the occasion of his wedding several years ago in Price. Private Dean Olsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Olsen, was here from his station at Warden, Washington, on a short visit. Dean was formerly employed on the tipple. A number of women of Wattis were pleasantly surprised one day last week when they heard their names mentioned on the Re quest Hour over KOAL and the song, Winter Wonderland played and sung for them at the request of their former neighbor, Mrs. Lott Buxton, now of Rock Springs, Wyoming. Thanks a lot, Annie. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Sherman had a nice surprise Thursday afternoon when Clydes sister and her husband, Staff Sergeant Richard Bourak, stationed now in Nebraska, came to call on them and enjoyed a delightful dinner that evening. Sergeant Bourak has just returned from Korea. His wife remained in Lawrence, Utah, during his absence. Mrs. Frank C. Ecker, accompanied by her sons. Charles and Duncan, went to Rock Springs, Wyoming, Frida to visit her daughters, Mrs. Allen Easton and Mrs. Frank Gecan and their famiand lies, also her brother-in-la- w sister, Mr. and Mrs. Duncan Stewart, formerly of Wattis. They went on the trip with Roy McIntosh in his Nash. Eldon Noyes was also a passenger. One of the most enjoyable social events of the holiday season was the family reunion of the Shaw family held in Price Sunday at the home of Helen Shaw Gunter (Mrs. Otto).
