Show THE arch30 entertains The members of theclub Social Sewing Circle spent a delightful afternoon as guests at the home of Mrs. Gomer Peacock last Thurs-day The affair was highlighted with sewing and visiting and a delicious luncheon was served by Hie hostess in the late afternoon. The guest list comprised Mrs. Alvin Wallace, Mrs. Bert Bunnell, Mrs. A. D. Keller, Mrs, Parley Rhead, Mrs. E. M. Williams, Mrs. Ray Walters, Mrs. Rulon Bryner, Mrs. Ed Hansen and Mrs. Oscar Hanson and Mrs. Wayne Thompson, who were additional guests. AFTERNOON Page Seven SUN-ADVOCA- NEW CLUB ENTERTAINED The members of the newly organized Sew and So club were entertained last week as guests at the home of Mrs. Lois Abrams. The group observed the birthday of Mrs. Dorothy Foley by presenting her with a gift and birthday cake. The guests present included Mrs. Ruby Forrester, Mrs. Foley, Mrs. Shirley Thomas, Mrs. Afton Pettey, Mrs. Betty Jolly, Mrs. Anna Lou McKinnon, Mrs. Mabel Jones and Mrs. Betty Peirce who was an additional guest. CLUB ENTERTAINS HUSBANDS The Busy Bee club members deviated from the regular club session last week and entertained their husbands at a pot luck dinner party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kelley on Wednesday night. Canasta was an interesting diversion following dinner. The guest list comprised Mr. and Mrs. Jack 'World, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Mills, Mr, and Mrs. Charles Fausett, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer King, Mr. and Mrs. George Shiner, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Peterson, Chris Axelgard, Mrs. George Waterman and Mrs. Perry FASHION SHOW SUCCESS ' The biggest social event of the season, the New Century club fashion show staged Wednesday night at the civic auditorium, was a tremendous success. The review retained all of its usual fine features and achieved new success with fresh new ideas in- corporated into its presentation. The one hundred and sixty models were selected from clubs and civic organizations in the county and from college and high school groups. The men in the show added special significance as they portrayed what the well dressed men will wear. Everything was In tune with spring, even the weather man cooperated with less wind and more sunshine. The eleborate styles were a prelude to the Easter parade and a forecast of the smartest wearing apparel for spring and summer. Around the clock from dawn to dark, the show featured play clothes and cottons, suits and and cocktail afternoon coats, gowns, glamorous evening attire, lovely lingerie, nurses uniforms and clothes for the small fry set.
