L. Turpin, Utah Fish and Game director. The Uintah lake area, still blanketed with snow and with many of the roads choked with snow drifts, will join the other parts of the state as the d area for the anxious angler who is forever looking for new fishing haunts. The Utah Fish and Game Department has not been able to stock the high lakes this spring because of heavy snows. are still waiting for the weather to clear the north slopes so that the fish trucks can get into Trial Washington lakes and the area this side of Mirror lake. The state holds little hope that the Mirror lake road will be passable from Trial lake. Also opening will be the north slope of the Uintah mountains and sucn lakes as March lake, China lakes, Beaver lake and the chain of lakes at the head of the north slope streams. Bridger lake, south of Fort Bridger, has suffered a heavy fish loss from winter-kil- l, Turpin explained. This lake is out of the picture for this year Two Brighton lakes in Salt Lake county will open they are Lake Mary and Twin lake. These waters were kept closed pa-- t their normal opening because of ice and the danger factor. They, too, opened for action July 2, however. Sportsmen are urged to check on road conditions in the higher mountain areas before planning early season trips. Current Creek road was snowed in at both ends when checked June 24. This road, like many others, may not open for sometime, Turpin plained. Ml MID FOR ! hot-be- Hatch-erym- Columbia Louis Coccomiglio is returning to East Carbon for a visit and a vacation this week.
