Helper won one fiom Diagerton and lost one to Price. Diagerton took one game from Notre Dame and lost one to Helper and Notie Dame lost to both Price and Diagerton. In the ninth giade division Price has won oer Helper, Hiawatha and Wellington. Wellmg-tot- n has won over Dragerton and Hiawatha and lost to Price. Helper dropped one game to Price and turned back Hiawatha Dragerton has a win over Helper and a los to Wellington. Wellington holds wins over Hiawatha and Dragerton and a loss to Price and Hiawatha has diopped games to Price and Hiawatha. In the game Monday night, Price beat Wellington (ninth! grade division) 44 to 39. L. a ym-.y Street in Price PRICE AND CARBON Handicap Keg League Bowling this week in the Star Ladies Handicap league saw a variation of scores with more pins going down and new high scores being established. The top league place is held by the Helper Journal with 13 wins and three losses. Second place is held by Bucks Sporting Goods team with nine won and seven lost; third place goes to the Pabst Blue Ribbon team with an even up eight won and eight lost standing. The Service Cleaners team claims fourth place with seven wins and nine losses, the Strand club holds fifth place with a six won-1- 0 lost standing and the Ford team is sixth with 11 losses and five wins. The three high lady kegiers were Betty Stringham with 210, M. Pinarelli with 193 and Lois Stringham with 182. SHOWN" Norma Harvey, freshman queen Carnival1 candidate for Snow queen honors, at the annual win- ter fun fest staged by the Associated Men Students of Carbon college, was elected queen and holiieigned over the three-da- y day held last Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Over 200 persons traveled to the Clear Creek sports area on the special ski train and aapproximately that many moie went by private car. Children of the Harding and Central schools were examined two weeks ago and during the past week children at the Price junior high, Southside and Wattis schools were examined. The program in the Price schools is being conducted in conasjunction with Parent-Teachsociations, Mrs. King stated. At the Price junior high school, 200 children were examined and five cases were found, four of these were being treated and one was a new infection. The clinic at this school has not yet been completed, she stated. Assisting Mrs. King at the Price junior high were Mrs. Clara Hansen, junior high president- Mrs. Leon Jeanselme, Mrs. Rudolph Larcher and Mrs. Deloss Myers. Other schools in Mrs. Kings district yet to be screened include completion at the Price junior high, Wellington and Hiawatha. At the Harding school, 457 children were examined and five positive cases were found and of these only one was a new infection. The other had been under treatment. Some 342 children were screened at the Central school and only one positive case was found and that one had been receiving treatment.
