SUN-ADVOCAT- Coal Output For Nation Is Gaining Over Last Year United States coal production for the past five months is eight to nine per cent above last years output, reports the Bureau of Mines, being 300,524,000 tons, compared to 276,849,000 tons, an increase of 23,675,000 tons. Last years production for the week ending June 3 decreased from nearly 12 million tons to around three million, but bounced back to the former figure the following week. Utahs production was down 4,000 tons for the week ending May 27, compared to the corresponding week last year.
