The rules issued by the association bulletin are listed as follows: General Rules All contest rules will conform to Rodeo Association of America rules, as closely as local conditions will per- mit. the grounds for drunkenness, quarreling with judges or officials, or for any other unseemly conduct. Contestants must wear cowboy or cowgirl clothes and the numbers which will be issued to each contestant by the committee. Cowboy judges will be selected by the committee on approval of contestants. The committee reserves the right to make such changes in these rules as circumstances may demand. The prizes are listed as follows: Saddle bronc riding, purse, $300, entrance fee, $10; calf roping, purse, $300, entrance fee, $10; bareback Brahma bull riding, purse, $300, entrance fee, $10; steer wrestling (Mexican), purse, $300, entrance fee, $10; amateur bareback bronc riding, purse, $90; no entrance fee. The purse will be split equally for each day money and the entrance fees will be the final money. The day and final money will be split 40, 30, 20 and 10 per cent. All points awarded to winners in professional contests are on Rodeo Association of America basis and the committee reserves the right to add amateur events. Other features of the contest will be exhibitions by Junior Brady in trick and fancy riding and roping and by Hollis Harker and his dogs. All contestants and specialty contractors are required to participate in daily parades and to attend meetings if called by the rodeo committee, and are expected to lend their best efforts toward putting on a successful show. Contestants and participants assume all risk of injury to themselves and their stock and other property while upon the rodeo grounds, and while participating in parade. A stay of execution was granted until June 11, 1941. Shirley V. Jorgensen was fined $12.50 and costs when he was found guilty of speeding. He was also fined $7.50 when he was found guilty of failing to appear to answer the above charge. Mr. Jorgensen failed to appear, on a speeding charge on the date specified by Patrolman Joe Dudler, the arresting officer. He plead not guilty to both charges and the court found him guilty of both counts. He was recommitted to the arresting officer for imposition of the sentence. H. B. Nielson plead guilty to a charge of issuing a fraudulent check. He was fined $25 and sentenced to 30 days in the county jail.
