George Cole, national organizer for the International Mine, Mill and Smelter Workers union, will deliver the main address at the ctly park. Other high union officials to be in attendance are John W. Ross, district No. 22 vice president of the United Mine Workers; Virgil Wright, and Albert Roberts, vice president. Other officers will probably be present, according to Nick Thomas, Labor Day celebration secretary. The banquet vill be held at noon, iastead of in the evening as reported previously, it has been announced. Special guests, committee members, county and city officials will constitute those participating in the dinner meeting. Rosary was said at 7:00 p. m. Tuesday in the Mitchell Funeral chapel, and Wednesday the body was shipped to Syracuse, New York, for funeral se -vices and burial. Mrs. Pettis was born August 19, 1885, at Provo, a daughter of Charles and Martha Jane Pace Jackman. Her husband, P.enjarnin Franklin Pettis, has been an engineer for the Denver & Rio Grande Western railroad for many years. They have lived in Helper for the past five years. Surviving besides her husband Son, George Pettis, Helper; brother, Charles Jackman, Jr., Provo; and sister, Mrs. Dora Bloomer of Douglas Arizona.
