But dont get alarmed, for the defendants were slot machines, charged with operating in violation of the state law. After pleas of guilty had been entered in their behalf, they were ordered destroyed by Justice of the Peace J. W. Hammond. Their contents, not counting a small quantity of slugs, totaled $63.72. The machines were seized June 28 by deputy sheriffs acting upon instructions from Attorney General Joseph Chez who obtained the required orders from Justice Hammond. Kil-foy- Reduction Announced Reduction in fire insurance rates for all types of dwellings in Price has been put into effect by the Board of Fire Underwriters of the Pacific, Mayor J.
